The tide turns against biofuels As biofuel production booms, concerns grow about food supply and environmental damage. (Read transcript and further information)
Whooee! Good news clip, Larry. Here in Ontariariario, Ginty just reaffirmed his support for government subsidized ethanol. He says he doesn't believe that these policies are the "dominant factor" in rising food prices and refuses to consider a change in policy.
I wonder how your Sasky grain growers are responding to all this. I hear-tell you got a boom goin' on and it's all on accounta stuff like high grain prices, high oil prices, high uranium prices. Do Sask farmers and commodities-based businesses see concern over food prices and concern over the environment as a liability?
BTW, I think we in NA could solve most of the food crisis if we simply went vegetarian 3 days a week.
